Thembi Palmer is a storyteller, author, and teaching artist with a mission: to create spaces where people of all ages can connect, express themselves creatively, and build lasting relationships. With over 15 years of experience, Thembi crafts immersive, interactive programs for libraries, museums, schools, and community spaces, integrating storytelling with engaging experiences. Recognizing the growing disconnection in our fast-paced world, she addresses the need for authentic expression and meaningful interaction. Thembi's expertise lies in designing inclusive programs that empower individuals to share their unique stories, fostering creativity, strengthening community bonds, and creating a sense of belonging through the transformative power of storytelling.

At the heart of Imagine More Story Adventures is a hope to create opportunities for people to connect with themselves, one another, and the world around them. Thembi's work has taken her across four continents, allowing her to work with wonderfully diverse communities, and what she's found to be true is that we all need to be a part of the shared experience. So the ultimate goal is to cultivate a true sense of belonging.

Who am I?

I’m that girl who had no clue what she wanted to do with her life…until she was 33! But up until then, every decision I’ve made, the people I met along the way, all of the disappointments, the adventures, and achievements, have lead me to this very point in my life. The journey of course is not over. I feel like I am just getting started. And no, I’m not upset that it has taken me this long. I am who I am because of the journey.

I am a baby making machine...okay not so much. But I do have 3 people who call me “Mom!” I still get a kick outta hearing that sometimes!

I am a cook...nope, let me clarify...I cook. But more importantly, I love to eat! Okay, the truth is,... I'm a really good recipe follower! Which means that for every 3 to 4 meals that are surprisingly epic, there are about 1 or 2 that I totally bomb. And while I’m at it, I may as well mention that I am also house cleaner, dishwasher, laundry woman, chauffeur, advice giver…the list goes on, but I think you get the point. Aaaaaand, I am also an entrepreneur.

I am a believer that if you are blessed with a craft, talent, knowledge or even just your time,…never keep it to yourself. Share what you have, not for what you will get in return, but for the impact it may make in someone’s life.
